Do you comply with European Package Travel Directive?
For your financial protection, James Edwards Travel complies with the European Package Travel Directive by holding all monies in an independently administered trust account until the completion of your holiday.
Where is our starting point?
We leave from the village of Hadlow, Nr Tonbridge, Kent, where we have arranged private parking. (At your own risk) Only 5 miles from exit No 4 on M20 motorway. We can arrange for you to be collected from West Malling station (50 mins from Victoria) or meet you en-route to Dover. It will only take us one hour from our starting point to Dover/Tunnel. Sorry but we do not expect you to waste hours sitting on the coach travelling around the country! Can you imagine on the return journey finding all purchases made by clients at each drop off point!!!
How do we reserve a place on your safari?
Please contact James to make sure places are available, by sending a message in the box below or you may telephone, with your choice of safari. We will send you full details of the safari along a booking form. Following reservation, 10/14 days before our departure full details of the itinerary and precise information of how to get to our starting point will be forwarded
Please forward a completed reservation form along with your cheque payable to James Edwards Travel.
Can you pickup en-route to Dover?
We will be happy to meet at Dover or en-route to Dover. Please telephone James on 01732-842074 to arrange a time and a place!
What accommodation do you use?
We use the 2 star Ibis or Campanile hotels. In Lille we use a private hotel 50yds from the modern metro system. All provide en-suite and buffet breakfasts. You can call anytime to ask the exact location of our hotel.
How many antiques can I purchase?
If clients travel light we can accommodate a large amount of purchases in the luggage compartment of our coach. Most clients purchase items that go into holdalls & shopping bags but bulkier items can be transported. Obviously wardrobes are out of the question but if anyone finds a special item then we always suggest you speak to the driver or James who will do their best to help.
What items will we likely find at the flea markets?Items on sale are too numerous to mention here (click here to see pictures) but you will find the same range of antiques as you would at Newark or at most antiques fairs but with that special continental flavour. We only attend large events with over 1000 pitches so there will be something for everybody. Do not expect to find many very high quality antiques, I would say that most of our clients are all into the mid area of the antiques trade.
Do you arrange other coach tours?
Yes - Garden, Farm, Wine and Gourmet and special interest tours to the Continent are very popular. We welcome enquiries from individuals, groups, clubs, associations etc. Give us a call for the latest list.
